It was an adult comedy show presented by All India Backchod (AIB) roasting Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. It was held on the 23rd of December 2014. Many of the Bollywood stars attended the show including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Anurag Kashyap. Many of them, who roasted Ranveer and Arjun used a lot of abusive words. Host for the roast show was Karan Johar.
What I felt
Using abusive words is not a problem at all if it fits the situation right. It sounds cool not only when the person cracking the joke is laughing but also the person on whom the joke is made laughs. Many of the Hollywood stars have talked abusive words on the award functions (Academy, Golden Globe, etc) but it sounded cool because they know how it sounds cool. They don’t hurt anyone’s feeling.
On a show (as a standup comedian), Ellen DeGenres says, “Is that funny. Well, I don’t think that’s funny. Are you really kidding? If you are then I must tell that you don’t know the proper way to kid. Cuz, both of us were supposed to laugh.”
When Karan opened up with his monolog, he was doing alright until he used those abusive words for no reasons. Jokes made on the show were real funny and could have been funnier if some of the words were really eliminated which made everyone feel bad. Apart from the jokes made, there are few more things that I hated about the show. There are many moments when the way Arjun and Ranveer were behaving looked terrible. I hated the attitude of the Raghu Ram so much that I can’t explain it without using abusive words right now. He is just a piece of shit who looks like a fuck, sits like a fuck, talks like a fuck and smiles like he wants to get fucked up right away. God, I hate him from the bottom of my heart and I hate his show really very much. I really liked the true fucking words from the Ranveer and Arjun for him.
